If a stand-alone (Velcro) Neck Laceration Guard (NLG) becomes dislodged or falls off during play, the player must immediately go to the bench.
If a player continues to play without a NLG, a 2-minute minor penalty shall be issued.
This clarification is provided to ensure clarity, uniformity, and alignment with player safety.
Note to Officials:
Before each game, ask: “Are players properly equipped?”
The only acceptable answer is…..YES.
