After extensive discussion and input from coaches, officials, and the NJSIAA, it was decided that neck-laceration guard (NLG) discrepancies observed during the 8-minute warm-up only will not result in a 2-minute minor penalty.
Coaches are strongly encouraged to ensure all players are wearing their NLGs during warm-ups; however, it was agreed that a simple oversight during warm-up will not be penalized.
All other neck-guard violations identified after the opening faceoff will be strictly enforced as noted in earlier communications
